Kris's Final Novel<3

♥PROLOGUE♥

The color drained from her face as she pushed herself forward, running as fast as her legs would carry her. She must've tripped over something, because the next thing she knew she was lying on the ground, a bullet hole in her dress her stomach started to bleed. The man stood above her, the loaded gun in his hand as he laughed manically. Her hand moved over the wound, bring her blood covered fingers to her face. She gasped as the blood changed from red to blue as it fell from her skin; she lay in a pool of blue blood. The man above her suddenly toppled over, having been hit by something. She looked up to see him. He picked up the gun, and then hurled it deep into the forest. He let her attempt to stand, and when she did he just looked at her.

"Help me" she whispered, clutching at her stomach.

He shook his head, then looked up; his profile familiar in the dimming moonlight. He shook his head again, “I can't help you”

“But—” she choked. He wouldn't help her? But why? She coughed into her hand, the blood splattering in multiple places on her palm; dripping blue onto the ground. I never knew what life was until it ran out in a red gush over my lips, she thought to herself; remembering it as something she'd said as a child to her older brother.

“Good-bye” he whispered, his voice like velvet. He turned and disappeared into the surrounding forest, this was the last time she saw him.
